Ballarat based, award winning artist, *Dale Fort*, 2009 University of
Ballarat artist‑in‑residence exhibits an evocative and extensive body of
work throughout the 3 exhibition spaces at pigmentGALLERY.

"Hedgerows of wild cherry plums, pines and cypresses. Hawthorns with
their brilliant red berries and the gorse. The boxthorn with its tangle
of twigs, thorns and moss. Rows of thickets that halt the natural flow
of the land, hedgerows that defines boundaries and ownership. Thickets
that tell stories and this work is my gestural response to this
landscape, these are studies of the many thickets and so these works
become thickets of marks." /
