Ballarat based, award winning artist, *Dale Fort*, 2009 University of
Ballarat artist‑in‑residence exhibits an evocative and extensive body of
work throughout the 3 exhibition spaces at pigmentGALLERY.

"Hedgerows of wild cherry plums, pines and cypresses. Hawthorns with
their brilliant red berries and the gorse. The boxthorn with its tangle
of twigs, thorns and moss. Rows of thickets that halt the natural flow
of the land, hedgerows that defines boundaries and ownership. Thickets
that tell stories and this work is my gestural response to this
landscape, these are studies of the many thickets and so these works
become thickets of marks." /

Kings ARI opening at 6‑8pm on Friday 12th March.
I've also attached the Kings Press Release and a
little PDF of the work when i exhibited it on my last residency in Graz, Austria, to give you an idea of
what the exhibition will include.The show will be accompanied by an essay about the work by James Geurts, and i'm going to be participating in an artist talk at Kings the day after the opening (Saturday 13th March) at 12 noon if any of you are interested?
