Trash or Treasure

When is 'Hard Rubbish' trash or treasure? Last week was rich pickings for my latest art work. I collected related construction pieces, mostly toys. It really is amazing the things people throw out. As digital images they work, don't know yet if I'll create an installation with them. I'm wondering what kind of hard rubbish is collected in other countries?
